New Changes to Freeview and Virgin TV Channels

New Changes to Freeview and Virgin TV Channels

As of last month, two new channels will be available on the free-to-access Freeview service, including the environment-focused EarthxTV.

Three already-existing stations, including the well-known Now 90s music channel, are simultaneously changing their numbers, names, and areas of transmission.

As usual, some viewers will need to retune their Freeview receivers in order to maintain the Electronic Program Guide's accuracy.

Minor Freeview updates and the addition of new channels are frequent occurrences, but these recent months have seen an abundance of changes, including a significant reorganisation in June that saw the closure of nine Freeview channels.

What are the Freeview and Virgin TV changes?

EarthxTV is a new Freeview channel. A global TV network that promotes sustainability and the environment. Dallas, Texas serves as the home location for the channel's nonprofit organisation.

You can watch EarthxTV on Freeview Channel 79. Additionally, EarthxTV will be made available on Sky, where Sky Channel 180 will carry it. For the majority of popular streaming devices, the channel also offers a dedicated app.

The network broadcasts distinctive, nominated programmes on a range of subjects under the slogan "Media that matters, honouring the people, places, wildlife, and cultures that make our planet worth conserving."

The goal of EarthxTV is to "become the leading platform for environmental content from non-profits, businesses, academic institutions, government partners, and filmmakers. A premier platform that influences and links the world in support of a sustainable and sustainable future.”

Celebrate TV, a brand-new Freeview channel. Religious television station Celebration TV was founded with the goal of "revealing Jesus and restoring destinies through life-building and effective spiritual empowerment media programmes."

Retune Your Freeview Device

Your Freeview device might need to be manually retuned once all these modifications have been made as the channel names and numbers won't be accurate.

Not all devices automatically retune, although some do.

In Freeview's retuning assistance area, you may discover more details on how to retune your device.
